Monotono, a space covering 500 square meters, is a former fashion showroom from the Sixties located in the historical center of Vicenza, a hundred meters from the train station on the Venice-Milan route. It presents a unique tone going in a unique direction. It has a contemporary function which, like mathematics, maintains unique order. Monotono offers its own project constructed in the eponymously named structure against the daily four-color printing of intiatives, proposals and languages. It is a project which is selected, coherent, continuous and international. Monotono plays with traces of liquidity, questioning the borders between art, design, fashion and architecture. Monotono is interested in geographic and mental areas which generate diversity and where biodiversity produces innovation, in maps which are yet undefined but on the way to being defined. Monotono includes certain specific projects: Exhibition space, International library, Secret store, Publisher.
